How did I start my journey as a musician/business owner?

Since a young age, I’ve loved music. I’ve played guitar my whole life, and after being in various bands throughout the years I found that I had a passion for music production. My first ever digital audio workstation was Garageband where I quickly found I enjoyed the process of creating from start to finish. What interested me the most were the challenges that audio posed related to mixing and arranging so that the final product was pleasing to other people’s ears. After learning how to use a few other DAWs I settled on the industry standard Pro Tools for vocal recording and audio mixing. Meanwhile, I still use Logic Pro and Fl Studio for music production. It is amazing how the software and music itself are like another language, and I strive for mastery over each different type there is. Presently I work at Phoenix Down Recording, owned by John Scott, who gained recognition in his career by working with acts such as Jeezy, Snoop Dogg, and Lil Baby. I am fortunate to have learned a lot from the team at Phoenix Down and am proud to be able to offer my services out of their studio.
